The Chocolate Affair is the primary fundraiser for Communities In Schools of the Charleston Area, Inc. (CIS). A nonprofit organization, CIS is dedicated to helping students stay in school, complete their education, and become productive, contributing citizens. During the 2008-2009 school year, CIS served approximately 3,080 students and their families in Charleston and Berkeley County.
